Our Approach
LEARN . LAUGH . LOVE
At our centre, we are dedicated to individualised, holistic support through tailored Individualised Education Plans (IEP) and a small teacher-to-student ratio, ensuring each child receives focused, and meaningful guidance. Our curriculum is grounded in Eastern-based values, fostering growth through family-centered and community-oriented principles. With specialised support in speech and language therapy (SLT) and occupational therapy (OT), we address each child's communication, motor skills, and daily life skills development, preparing them for a fulfilling journey of lifelong learning. At the heart of Peapod & Beans, we believe in loving each child with courage and gentleness.

Tailored Individualised Education Plans (IEP)
Each child at our centre receives a customised Individualised Education Plan (IEP), designed to address their unique developmental needs. Our IEPs ensure that interventions are targeted and relevant, setting meaningful goals that guide each child’s progress.
Small Teacher-to-Student Ratio
With a small teacher-to-student ratio of 1:5, our centre fosters an environment of personalised attention. This approach allows our educators to form strong connections with each child, enhancing the quality of interactions and learning outcomes.
Early Intervention with Eastern-based Values Approach
Our curriculum incorporates Eastern-based values, focusing on holistic growth, family-centered support, and community involvement. This culturally sensitive approach creates a balanced learning experience that nurtures character and social responsibility.
Speech and Language Therapy (SLT)
Our qualified speech and language therapist (SLT) work with children to develop effective communication skills, aiding in language acquisition and social interactions. SLT is integrated into each child’s plan, ensuring that speech development is closely monitored and supported.
Occupational Therapy (OT)
Our occupational therapist (OT) provide tailored support for children’s motor skills, sensory processing, and daily life skills. OT interventions are woven into daily activities to help each child gain independence and build essential life skills.
The Significance of AEPS-3 in Assessment
At our centre, we are committed to providing individualised, developmentally appropriate programmess for every child. To support this goal, we use the Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children, Third Edition (AEPS-3). AEPS-3 is a comprehensive assessment tool designed to track developmental progress and inform individualised learning plans.
Here's why we trust AEPS-3:

Assessment Tool
1. Holistic, Developmentally Appropriate Assessment
AEPS-3 provides a complete picture of a child’s development by assessing across key domains, including fine motor, gross motor, adaptive (self-help), social-communication, and literacy skills. This ensures that each child’s unique strengths and needs are identified, fostering tailored educational plans. According to Bricker et al. (2019), the system's domain-specific assessments have been validated to provide accurate measures of developmental skills for children with and without disabilities.
2. Link Between Assessment and Intervention
Unlike many assessment tools, AEPS-3 goes beyond screening and diagnosis. It provides a direct connection between assessment results and intervention planning. This linkage is critical for children with developmental delays, as it enables the creation of specific, measurable goals that promote meaningful progress. Research by Feldman et al. (2020) shows that the AEPS system supports functional outcomes by targeting daily routines and individual needs, leading to more effective intervention strategies.
3. Evidence-Based and Validated for Diverse Populations
AEPS-3 has undergone extensive validation across various populations, ensuring its effectiveness in different educational and cultural settings. The assessment is sensitive to the developmental trajectories of children with special needs, making it a reliable tool for inclusive education. In their study, Kleinert et al. (2021) found that AEPS-3 significantly improves goal-setting accuracy and intervention outcomes for children from diverse backgrounds, proving its adaptability and cultural relevance.
Who can benefit?
Our early intervention programme is tailored for preschool-aged children (ages 4 to 7) who need extra support in different areas of development. Whether your child faces challenges with social communication, behaviours, sensory integration, or other developmental differences, our programme is designed to meet their unique needs.
